Mrs Mollie!
Hi! I'm Mrs Mollie, and for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a teacher. Yes, I was one of those girls who loved to play teacher with her friends. ☺️
Currently completing my final year of Elementary Education studies, with two years of substitute teaching experience, I’m passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners.
I believe children learn best through play, hands-on exploration, and meaningful experiences. My goal is to create a classroom where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn, a place where they can touch, try, discover, and grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively every day. One of my favorite parts of teaching preschool is seeing the excitement on their faces when they learn something new.
Outside of the classroom, I love reading, traveling with my family, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

My small classes of just 4/5 children allows your child to be comfortable and grow valuable friendships with the other preschoolers. Because conflict-resolution skills are super vital to learn at this age, I help your child work through their problems with other children. Pretty soon they’re using the same strategies and words we’ve taught them, all by themselves!

Your child will receive individualized instruction through thorough assessments and curriculum. I will guide your child in the areas they need to improve, and challenge them when they’re ready for more. My balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities follows the NAEYC guidelines to strengthen your whole child’s development: Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical.

Teaching children is a huge responsibility, and I take that responsibility seriously! My distinct policies and procedures regarding health and safety help to keep your child in a safe, clean environment. I am constantly cleaning, washing hands, and monitoring all activities to prevent any accidents.

To extend our learning beyond the classroom, we love sending home fun activities, conversation starters, and hands-on experiences for families to enjoy together. From themed learning projects and sensory activities to holiday traditions and family reading nights, we believe learning continues best when school and home work together. Parents will also receive updates and ideas to help reinforce what we are learning in the classroom!

Each year, your child will receive a different t-shirt for that school year to wear on Spirit Days. We also save some of your child’s artwork for a special portfolio you get at graduation.

We offer you the opportunity to enrich your preschool experience by enjoying book orders, school pictures, class pictures, graduation pictures, and cap ‘n gown pictures.

When should I call to register my child?
It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast!
When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?
I have a 9-month school year (Aug.-May). If I have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call me to see if I have any spots available.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3-5 (and "independent almost-3-year-olds") by Sep. 1.
Does my child have to be potty trained?
Yes. If you have any questions about whether or not your child is ready, feel free to give me a call. I even have a “How To Potty Train” your child handout I can give you. It’s helped many preschool moms quickly potty train their kids. I am here to help!
What is your teaching philosophy?
I follow a “whole child” philosophy where we work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. My curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. We also incorporate Fundamentals Preschool Curriculum. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for Kindergarten!
Are there additional fees during the year?
No. Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program. Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day and a graduation portfolio!
What if my child has food restrictions?
No worries. I ask these families to bring in their own snacks, and I create nut-free classrooms any time a child’s allergy is severe enough to require an epi pen.
Is the registration fee refundable?
No.
How many students do you have per class?
I have a small class size, so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. I only have 4/5 students per class.
